Peccatte Cello Bow, IPE
Peccatte Cello Bow, IPE
Inspired by the legendary models of This cello bow by Dominique Peccatte, made in 2025, is a modern interpretation of one of the most admired schools of French bowmaking. Constructed with a rounded stick of Ipe wood, it combines the stability and density of this wood with a natural elasticity that provides a lively and controlled response under the bow. This high-density wood replaces Pernambuco for those who value more sustainable alternatives for their instruments.
The frog lends the bow a refined aesthetic and a precise point of balance, ensuring comfort and safety during use. Every element of the bow, from its curvature to its weight distribution, has been designed to reproduce the firm, agile, and expressive character of Peccatte bows.
The result is an arch with a Clear and powerful sound projection, excellent dynamic control, and a direct feel on the string. Ideal for cellists seeking a classically inspired bow with excellent handling and a noble, articulate, and balanced sound.
Weight: 82.4 grams.
